Default * How to Remove Fender Side Molding

I have a 57 belair - Is there a way to remove the stainless fender trim on the

drivers side without removing fender. There are three bolts that are buried

inside inner fender and behind air duct - trying to do some paint work.

For the nut closest the door the location is 2 5/8" above the widow gutter inner cowl drain seal tube. If you have any questions feel free to email me. Thanks. Don

Default Molding

If you don't have to remove them, don't. The reason this is a problem is because GM assembled the front clip off the car and installed as one piece.

Default Removing Fender Spears

Thanks Don - I figured it out after taking off the kick panel. Now I can
access those two nuts, and other one in question can be reached from
inside engine compartment.

Great idea not just for removal but for alignment also.
